I have type 1 diabetes. Every day, I need six insulin injections, ten blood tests and strict dietary management to stay alive. Type 1 is tough, but I'm tougher: I'm swimming 19.7 kilometres to Rottnest Island, solo, because I believe that a life with type 1 can be a life without limits.
As the CEO of the Telethon Type 1 Diabetes Family Centre, I am passionate about making life better for families impacted by type 1 in WA. I'm dedicating my long hours of training and the challenge of the swim to the Family Centre community, especially to the amazing kids in our type 1 tribe, who make my job the most rewarding job in the world.
Please support me to raise funds for the Family Centre clicking the 'Give Now' button. The more people know about the Family Centre, the greater our impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.
Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
